To authorise the purchase of new council homes for social rent as part of the Manor and Braganza developments.

Decision:

That it be approved that the Director (in consultation with the Strategic Director of Housing and Modernisation) agrees the leasehold purchase of 13 units from Durkan Limited (Durkan) to provide 10 new council homes for social rent and 3 new intermediate homes across both the Manor Place and Braganza Workshops development sites for a total cost of £4,334,000. £1,084,000 of this cost is provided by a grant from the GLA, resulting in a net payment from the council of £3,250,000.

10/05/2021 - Gateway 3 - Variation Decision Manor and Braganza Development Agreement ref: 7336    For Determination

To agree a variation to the development agreement, for the council to invest additional funding into the Manor and Braganza development.

1.   That a variation to the Development Agreement for Manor Place and Braganza with Durkan Limited (Durkan) to incorporate an additional payment of £4,913,782.08, be approved.

 

2.   That it be noted that £1.2m of this cost is provided by a grant from the Greater London Authority (GLA), resulting in a net payment from the council of £3,713,782.08.

 

3.   That it be noted that approval of this variation report is subject to the approval of the acquisition of 13 intermediate units as further detailed in paragraph 22 of the report.
