PROPOSAL

Demolition of the existing buildings and the redevelopment of the site to provide 38 dwellings (Use Class C3) in a six-storey building, along with associated landscaping, dedicated plant and storage facilities, and 

other associated works.

The committee heard the officer’s introduction to the report. Members of the committee asked questions of the officers.

There were no objectors present at the meeting.

The applicant addressed the committee and responded to questions from members.

There were no supporters present, who lived within 100 metres of the development site and wished to speak.

There were no ward members present who wished to speak at the meeting.

A motion to grant the application subject to conditions and amended conditions set out in the officer’s report, and the addendum report, that were presented during the hearing, was moved, seconded, put to the vote and declared carried.

RESOLVED:

1.  That planning permission be granted subject to conditions and the applicant entering into an appropriate legal agreement.

2.  That in the event the requirements of paragraph 1 above are not met by 22 January 2027, the director of planning and growth be authorised to refuse planning permission, if appropriate, for the reasons set out in paragraph 214 of the report.

At 7.47pm the meeting adjourned for a five-minute comfort break. The meeting reconvened at 7.52pm to proceed to the next item on the agenda.
