PROPOSAL
Temporary erection of a dining marquee until 31 October 2028.
The committee heard the officer’s introduction to the report. Members of the committee asked questions of the officers.
There were no objectors present at the meeting.
The applicant addressed the committee and responded to questions from members.
There were no supporters present, who lived within 100 metres of the development site and wished to speak.
There were no ward members present who wished to speak at the meeting.
A motion to grant the application subject to conditions and amended conditions set out in the officer’s report, and the addendum report, that were presented during the hearing, was moved, seconded, put to the vote and declared carried.
RESOLVED:
That planning permission be granted subject to conditions and the additional conditions regarding the site’s landscaping summarised below:
i. Prior to any above-ground works, a detailed hard and soft landscaping scheme must be submitted to and approved by the Local Planning Authority, with all landscaping implemented, maintained, and any failed planting replaced for at least five years in accordance with relevant British Standards.
ii. The approved green roof system shall be fully completed prior to the first occupation of the building and shall be retained and maintained thereafter for the lifetime of the development. Any dead, failing, or damaged planting must be replaced during the next planting season.
Reason: To ensure the provision of sustainable urban drainage (SuDS), mitigate the urban heat island effect, enhance local biodiversity, and secure the long-term visual amenity of the development.
