The premises licence holder was given the opportunity to make their request to postpone the hearing.
The responsible authorities advised that they did not object to the postponement.
The meeting adjourned at 10.19am for the sub-committee to consider the request.
The meeting reconvened at 10.44am and the chair advised everyone present of the decision.
RESOLVED:
That the sub-committee agreed to postpone this item (Licensing Act 2003: Nunhead Express (Also Known as Nisa), 2 Kirkwood Road, London SE15 3XX) to the in person meeting on 2 June 2026. The meeting shall begin at 10am and shall take place at the council’s offices at 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2QH.
The reason for this decision is that the premises licence holder requested the postponement in order to organise new legal representation. In addition, the premises licence holder stated that he would like an in person hearing due to the fact that he was not familiar with the online technology and, as English is not his first language, he felt more comfortable presenting in person.
