The chief executive of the council, Althea Loderick, announced the planned retirement of the assistant chief executive, governance and assurance, Doreen Forrester-Brown, the council’s monitoring officer. She offered her thanks for her service. Tributes were given by the Mayor and the group leaders.
The cabinet member for health and wellbeing announced the Care Quality Commission’s “good” rating for Southwark’s adult social care.
The Mayor announced Southwark’s cross-party support for “March together against the far right”.
The Mayor thanked all members for their service in this political term.
