The Mayor announced the sad passings of former councillors Bob Skelly and Gavin O’Brien. Councillors Ian Wingfield and Graham Neale gave tribute to their memories.
Councillor Jasmine Ali, deputy leader and cabinet member for children, education and refugees, announced Southwark’s status as a Borough of Sanctuary.
