The Mayor announced that the Council wished to express our sadness at the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, and the meeting took a minute’s silence in her memory.
The Mayor then welcomed His Majesty King Charles III, and wished him a successful reign.
The Mayor announced the Spectacular Commonwealth Ball on 18 November 2022, which was a great success.
Councillor Jasmine Ali, deputy leader and cabinet member for children, young people, education and refugees, announced that Ofsted has given Children’s Services a Good grade.
