To receive information from the Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources and Strategic Director of Finance and Governance concerning the latest position on the policy and resources strategy 2021-22 following the report received by cabinet on 8 December 2020 and the provisional local government finance settlement for 2021 to 2022 published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on 17 December 2020.

The overview and scrutiny committee received a presentation on the proposed budget from Councillor Rebecca Lury, Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources and Duncan Whitfield, Strategic Director of Finance and Governance.

The cabinet member and strategic director answered questions of the committee.

The committee discussed arrangements for the budget scrutiny meeting scheduled for 25 January 2021.
