The interview with the Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Financial Inclusion, Councillor Stephanie Cryan, took place on the following themes:
1. Update on Tower Bridge Care Home, Burges Park and Camberwell Green care homes. Since lifting, or partially lifting, the embargo on Tower Bridge and Burgess Park care homes what has happened? 2. Council Home Care provider’s attitude with regard to not providing pay slips to personal assistants
On this item the cabinet lead responded that as a result of a member raising a concern on this matter the council had contacted Care Direct, who are a spot provider of care services rather than a council contractor - Care Direct have said that they do provide hard copies of payslips, and can provide duplicates to employees by contacting a local branch.
3. Council tax adult social care precept
The cabinet member said this will be introduced. £1.7 million pounds will be raised by the precept but £33 million projected cut will need to be made due to cuts to the council budget.
