PROPOSAL

Retention of use as Class A2 (estate agent) on ground floor level.

The planning officer presented the application and councillors asked questions of the planning officer.

There was a statement from an objector and councillors asked questions

The applicant’s agent made a statement and councillors asked questions.

There were no statements from local supporters of the application living within 100 metres of the site, or from ward councillors.

RESOLVED:

  That application number 11-AP-3567 be approved subject to the conditions

  set out in the report and the following amendment and new condition:

1.  That the reference to Sunday hours should be deleted.

2.  That a condition be added, that the premises should not be a betting shop

    on the grounds of 3.2 Protection of Amenity and impact on the character

    of the conservation area.

Members asked that if appropriate separate advertising consent should be put before this committee.

Councillor Eliza Mann joined the committee.
