The officer presented his report and highlighted the key changes in legislation that had led to this revised policy. Members had questions.

RESOLVED:

1.  That the committee recommended the draft document at Appendix A to the report to council assembly for approval as the Southwark Statement of Licensing Policy for 2011-2014.

2.  That the committee noted that a further report will be provided by officers on the impact of the licensing provisions contained within the current Police and Social Responsibility Bill, upon the council’s policy statement, following the bill’s progression through parliament.
