Minutes:
6.1 The chair briefed the committee on proposals for the budget scrutiny meeting to be held at the end of the month. The intention was to invite the leader and Councillor Richard Livingstone to give an initial overview, interview each cabinet member in turn, conclude with a summing up by the leader and Councillor Livingstone and then formulate recommendations to cabinet.
6.2 The leader drew to members’ attention that the cabinet would be hearing deputations at its meeting on 8 February and stated that the cabinet wanted as much feedback as possible from scrutiny, community councils and the public.
