Following a variation in the order of business earlier in the meeting, this report was considered after the guillotine had fallen, therefore in accordance with council assembly procedure rule 1.10(3) & (4) the report was afford up to a maximum of 15 minutes.

The chair of the licensing committee, Councillor Lorraine Lauder, presented the report.

The recommendations were put to the vote and declared to be carried.

RESOLVED:

That the recommendation of the licensing committee be agreed and Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, as amended by section 27 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009, be adopted so as to provide a local licensing regime for the licensing of sexual entertainment venues, with the first appointed date being 1 April 2011.
