The major projects board
provides a focus for decision-making and the delivery of all major
projects. The major projects board is
responsible for the main area-based regeneration programmes
(Elephant and Castle, Aylesbury, Canada Water and Bermondsey Spa),
Southwark Schools for the Future Secondary schools and the office
accommodation programme. It has an
important role in energising and driving forward the major
projects.
The major projects board takes
key policy decisions to enable the projects to be
delivered.
The major projects board meets
on average six times a year and meetings are held at the Town Hall,
Peckham Road, SE5 8UB.
