    The chair informed the meeting that as this was the first decision-making meeting of this Neighbourhood area, there were no minutes to agree.

     

    The minutes of the multi-ward forum meeting on 4 March 2025 had been circulated to members and agreed.

Cleaner Greener Safer 2026-27: Capital Funding Allocation (Walworth Neighbourhood)

    Note: This is an executive function for decision by the Walworth neighbourhood community meeting.  

     

    To approve a reallocation and the allocation of funds for the Cleaner Greener Safer capital programme.

    The meeting heard that over the last ten years, the council had invested more than £30 million directly to support local projects and grassroots organisations, with £3.31 million to be allocated across the 10 neighbourhoods in 2026-27.

     

    The chair explained that in this item councillors were asked to approve a reallocation and allocations of funds for the Cleaner Greener Safer capital programme. The applications were listed in Appendix 1 of the report.

     

    The meeting heard that there were £42,478 of funding from previous years underspend, current programme underspend and current programme project cancellations. There were also £195,830 available for the 2026-27 CGS capital programme for new projects in the Walworth Neighbourhood. (A grand total of £234,178) 

     

    RESOLVED:

     

    1.  That the reallocation of £42,478, comprising of underspent funds carried forward from previous years, current-year programme underspend and project cancellations within the current programme, to the 2026-27 Cleaner Grener Safer (CGS) budget for the Walworth Neighbourhood be approved. 

     

    2.  That the following allocation of funds for the 2026-2027 Cleaner Greener Safer capital programme in the Walworth Neighbourhood area be agreed:

Neighbourhood Grants (Neighbourhoods Fund 2026-27) (Walworth Neighbourhood)

    To approve the allocation of funds for the 2026-27 Neighbourhoods Fund in the Walworth neighbourhood community area from the list of applications outlined in Appendix 1 of the report.
