Confirmation of voting members

    The councillors present were confirmed as the voting members.

Notification of any items of business which the chair deems urgent

    In special circumstances, an item of business may be added to an agenda within five clear days of the meeting.

    Minutes:

    The chair noted that the closed agenda for item 6 on Southwark Civic Awards 2016 had been circulated after the normal despatch date and accepted the item as urgent for the reasons set out in the report.  There was no other urgent business.

    Members to declare any personal interests and dispensation in respect of any item of business to be considered at this meeting.

    Minutes:

    Councillor Cleo Soanes declared a non-pecuniary interest in agenda items 1 and 6 as she was a non-voting ordinary member of the Southwark Civic Association.

     

    Mr Gary Magold (co-opted member) declared a non-pecuniary interest in agenda items 1 and 6 as he was an ordinary member of the Southwark Civic Association.

Southwark Civic Awards 2016

    To consider recommendations for nominations for civic awards and grant awards as appropriate.

    1.  That the report be noted.

     

    2.  That it be noted that the short–listed nominations for civic awards and Mayor’s nomination for a discretionary award be considered in the closed section of the meeting.

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

  That the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in category 1 of paragraph 10.4 of the Access to Information Procedure Rules of the Southwark Constitution.

Southwark Civic Awards 2016

Minutes:

The sub-committee approved the granting of civic awards for 2016, subject to satisfactory clearances being obtained by officers. The sub-committee also agreed that the Mayor be invited to confirm her nomination for a discretionary award.
