Community Announcement
Minutes: VC commemorative paving stone – Harold Mugford VC The chair announced that at 11.00am on 11 April 2017, a Victoria Cross commemorative paving stone would be unveiled in honour of Harold Mugford. Mr Mugford was born at 149 Keetons Road, Bermondsey and was awarded a Victoria Cross for his act of bravery at Monchy-le-Preux, in the Battle of Arras on 11 April 1917. The stone would be unveiled at the Bermondsey and Rotherhithe War Memorial and unveiled by the Mayor of Southwark. |
