To set out the vision for the borough’s tree stock

1. That the Tree Management Strategy and the approach for the adoption of the strategy be approved.

2. That the following be agreed:

• The Tree Management Strategy is published on the website
• The Tree Management Strategy is disseminated through the appropriate mechanisms to tenants and leaseholders by Housing management
• The Tree Management Strategy website link is e-mailed to all Parks ‘friends’ groups and voluntary sector partners
• That the Tree Management Strategy be reviewed within 12 months and any comments on the strategy be considered as part of that review.

3. That the current resources do not allow for full cyclical maintenance regimes for every tree and agrees the approach set out in Paragraph 22, to move to a regime based on condition be noted.

4. That the actions taken to address the recommendations arising from the Southwark Tree review undertaken by the Environment and Community Support scrutiny sub-committee attached at Appendix 1 be noted.

5. That the service offer for trees and the areas of work we are unable to respond to within available resources as set out in Paragraph 27 be noted.
