Purpose:

To approve the award of a contract to supply and maintain Light Goods Vehicles for the council.

Decision:

That the Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets and Waste in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Council Homes:

 

1.  That the award of the supply of the Light Goods Vehicles (LGV) contracts (Lot 2) from the Halton Housing framework agreement to the companies listed within the table for a period of six years, with the option to extend by one further year, starting in October 2025, be approved:

2.  That it be noted that the indicative estimated cost of this contract is £7,742,976.86 for Internal Combustion Engines and £6,960,432.00 for Electric Vehicles (not all vehicles were quoted for in EV) based on the like for like replacement of current vehicles. However, this award does not oblige the council to purchase a specific number or type of vehicle or spend a minimum amount. 

 

3.  That it be noted that this a repeat tendering exercise due to the lack of response from sufficient tenderers in the previous exercise.
