Decision details

To approve grants to community-based organisations to develop and provide training on local priorities, coordinated and facilitated by Community Southwark

That:

1.  The allocation of £160,000 to Community Southwark, via a one-off grant fund be approved by the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.

2.  The enabling of Community Southwark to coordinate and disburse onward grants to voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations, to provide lived-experience led training on understanding local needs to Council staff and Community Researchers trained through the Southwark Insights and Intelligence Programme (SIIP) for 24 months, between March 2025 to 2027 be noted by the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.
