Coronavirus: Council and Committee Meetings
Following the end of the Coronavirus regulations in May 2021 which permitted councils to hold virtual meetings, all the council's decision making meetings are being held physically. Some meetings will be livestreamed on the council's YouTube channel here.
The guidelines for filming or recording council meetings are available here.
Most meetings are open to the public unless there are items specified which will be considered in a closed meeting. If you wish to attend any meeting, please contact constitutional.team@southwark.gov.uk or scrutinyteam2@southwark.gov.uk.
Residents and ward councillors can keep track of upcoming meetings via the Calendar of Meetings and for upcoming key decisions via the Forward Plan.
This section allows you to access papers and decisions from council meetings, including agendas, reports and minutes.
Agendas are the documents that give those
attending meetings prior notice of what is being discussed. Agendas
also give all the relevant details of when and where the meetings
take place and who attends. Normally they have reports
attached.
Reports are documents that have been prepared for
a meeting to consider a particular course of action or to provide
an update. They set out the reasons for any recommended course of
action. Information will include legal advice, financial
implications and other relevant issues.
Minutes are the formal record of what was decided
at the meeting. They also tell you who was present.
