Over the past few years, Ilderton Road has undergone a significant transformation, with no changes implemented to control access, speed limits, or parking zones. Walking in the area became exceedingly difficult due to cars exceeding speeds of 40 miles per hour. This leaves pedestrians at a significant risk of being struck. I was informed that a dog was struck by a vehicle last year due to excessive speed. Moreover, parking our cars in the area has become exceedingly difficult. Although we used to be able to park in side streets, the overwhelming number of new constructions has made it nearly impossible. It is imperative that the entire area be assessed and reconsidered as a predominantly residential zone, with a maximum speed limit of 20 mph. Furthermore, stricter enforcement of parking zones is necessary.
