There is significant traffic around St.John's and St.Clement's School and surrounding nurseries during peak drop off and pick up hours. Cars, vans, cyclists and bin lorries are travelling up already-narrowed roads, made more dangerous by the need for parents/carers and children to queue according to covid 19 social distancing rules.
Leaving the roads open for drivers at these times is risking childrens' and adults' lives unnecessarily and we petition the council to protect these lives during this time. Closing the roads at peak times would ensure the safety of children and allow people to maintain necessary and appropriate social distancing rules.
