Minutes:
5.1 The Chair introduced the Borough Commander and invited the him to do a brief introduction.
5.2 The Borough Commander gave an overview of his role and the changes to the borough command since the merger of Southwark and Lambeth. He outlined changes in capacity and reported on the performance of the new structure.
5.3 The Committee asked questions about the performance of the Police on the priority of resources, the dilution of ward-based community policing, and the impact of police station closures.
5.4 Also present were councillor Evelyn Akoto (Cabinet Member for Community Safety & Public Health and Stephen Douglass (Director of Communities).
