Minutes:
Matt Steele thanked the Community Council for the opportunity to speak; he also expressed pleasure at the number of traders present at the meeting. He felt that John Wallington’s points were valid, and he shared the traders’ aspirations and desires.
Improvements were being made, such as the resurfacing work, bicycle pods etc
The issues in the review needed further examination. He and his colleagues were doing what they can, but decisions need to be taken by the Council, as there are decreasing numbers of stalls; 242 have been registered since he took over, 87 in the last year.
