Toby Blume to present the report.

5.1  The chair stated that the sub-committee would take a presentation from the report writers and hear from representatives from Tenants Council and SGTO.

5.2  The report and recommendations were presented to the sub-committee by Toby Blume and Johnny Zander from Kaizen and Social Engine who then took questions from members and tenant representatives.

5.3  The Sub-committee then heard from members of the public who were present and wanted to express their views.

5.4  The chair stated that when Homeowners council provides their report it would also be included with the other papers to the Cabinet member for Housing.

5.5  Councillor Lury suggested that sending the report and the two supported papers from Tenants Council and SGTO to the Cabinet member for Housing and for the chair to facilitate and work alongside the parties involved in this process to draw up a list of principles required on this issue.

RESOLVED:

1.  That the sub-committee agree the report and the papers from Tenant Council and SGTO and pass them all to the Cabinet member for Housing to report back to scrutiny with a proposal for a way forward.

2.  The chair to facilitate and work alongside the parties involved in this process to draw up a list of principles required on this issue and provide to the Cabinet member for Housing.

3.  That the sub-committee requested that more detailed data on homeowners be made available to the sub-committee, this information is stored in the Housing department.

4.  That Tenant’s Council and Homeowners Council meetings are not scheduled at the same times as scrutiny meetings.
