Licensing Act 2003: Lush Bar & Restaurant, 280 Old Kent Road, London SE1 5UE

Minutes:

The licensing officer presented their report.  Members had questions for the licensing officer.

 

The applicant and the designated premises supervisor for the premises addressed the sub-committee.  Members had questions for the applicant and the designated premises supervisor.

 

The meeting adjourned at 11.40am to allow the licensing officer to check the floor plans for the premises.  The meeting reconvened at 11.48am.

 

The chair proposed that the meeting should be adjourned to allow outstanding issues at the premises to be concluded.  The other members of the sub-committee agreed with this proposal.

 

RESOLVED:

 

1.  That this matter be adjourned part-heard to 10.00 am on to 5 May 2017.

 

2.  The licensing sub-committee direct the following:

 

a)  That the premise is inspected by Southwark’s Health and Safety and/or the Licensing Team to calculate a capacity limit.  A capacity limit for seated customers should be calculated.

 

b)  That the premise is inspected by Southwark’s Licensing Team to confirm whether there is fixed furniture.

 

c)  That the premises kitchen is inspected by Southwark’s Food Safety Team after 15 April 2017 following the service of the Hygiene Improvement Notice dated 23 March 2017 served pursuant to regulation 6 of the Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 and report to the Licensing Sub-Committee on the condition of the said kitchen.

 

d)  That the applicant be permitted to respond to Southwark’s findings in respect of  a to c (above) before 4.00pm on 28 April 2017.
