Ric Euteneuer, Principal Strategy Officer (School Places) 

Glenn Garcia, head of pupil access, presented information on the admissions processes for the different types of schools and the code governing them (see attached presentation). She highlighted that when parents made their six choices for secondary schools, these were not in order of preference and the decisions depended on children meeting the schools’ admissions criteria.

Ric Euteneuer, principal strategy officer (school places), explained the places planning process (see attached presentation). He informed the meeting that according to the data received from the Greater London Authority, there was no need for extra school places in the Dulwich area, but that the council was monitoring the need for school places every year. 

The meeting heard that Rotherhithe and Bermondsey were parts of the borough were there was pressure on school places, but that in terms of secondary school places, there were enough in the borough.
