Minutes:
The chair summarised the work that the sub-committee had looked into during the 2015-16 period and highlighted the following areas:-
· Call centre opening times
· TMO evidence regarding housing repairs
· Housing Bill
· Interviewed the Borough Commanders of Fire & Police
· Interviewed the cabinet members
· Update – Women’s safety charter
· Empty homes
· Local delivery service
The sub-committee then complied a wish list of areas they would like to explore for the next working year, which was as follows:-
· Anti-social behaviour
· Water charges
· Deaths in council homes
· Local housing repairs provision
· Community safety
· Ward panels/ Police
· Repairs service – common complaints
· Homelessness & temporary housing
· Mystery shopper visits
· Joint meeting with neighbouring boroughs
· Leaseholders & charges
· Tenants & residents association – support
· Mixed developments - visits
