Pocket places programme
Subject to consultation and funding, the programme is due to be delivered in phases from February to September 2016. To complement these proposals the council would also be consulting on a small public art project and information on this will be available shortly.Officers will present information on the progress of the project at Camberwell Community Council in November 2015.
Camberwell Green refurbishment
The chair announced that construction was estimated to begin at Camberwell Green in September 2015. The works should take six to nine months to complete. There would be a new children’s playground and new market space.
Bakerloo Line extension update
The chair explained that TfL had carried out their consultation to which there had been a large positive response in favour of extending the line to the Old Kent Road and also to extend the line to Camberwell and Peckham. The council was in favour of both extensions and were lobbying the Mayor of London to make that happen.
