Council Assembly to considers the recommendation from the Constitutional Steering Panel to confer the award of Freedom of the Borough to the nominees outlined in paragraphs 13 - 20 of the report.

The Mayor stated that in accordance with council assembly procedure rule 2.11(2), this being an officer report, the recommendations set out in the report were deemed to have been moved and were subject to amendment only. 

Following debate (Councillors Ian Wingfield and Poddy Clark), the recommendations contained within the report were put to the vote and declared to be carried.

RESOLVED:

That the Freedom of the Borough be awarded to the nominees outlined in paragraphs 13 – 20 of the report.
