    VC commemorative paving stone – Harold Mugford VC

    The chair announced that at 11.00am on 11 April 2017, a Victoria Cross commemorative paving stone would be unveiled in honour of Harold Mugford. Mr Mugford was born at 149 Keetons Road, Bermondsey and was awarded a Victoria Cross for his act of bravery at Monchy-le-Preux, in the Battle of Arras on 11 April 1917. The stone would be unveiled at the Bermondsey and Rotherhithe War Memorial and unveiled by the Mayor of Southwark.

    Councillors to allocate of a total of £185,000 of the Neighbourhoods Fund 2017-18 from the list of applications outlined in Appendix 1 of the report.
