To approve the procurement strategy for special educational needs and disability (SEND) taxis for children, young people and vulnerable adults.

RESOLVED:

1.  That the procurement strategy outlined in the report for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) taxis for children, young people and vulnerable adults, which is to undertake a competitive tender process for a four year framework agreement commencing on 1 September 2018 until 31 August 2022 be approved. 

2.  The it be noted that further work is being undertaken in relation to whether it is feasible to open the framework to other neighbouring boroughs.  Cabinet agrees the delegation of this decision to the strategic director of children’s and adults’ services once the exploratory work is complete and before the OJEU notice is placed.
